Debbie's School of Dance

My heart's already dancing why not my feet ......

About Debbie's School of Dance

My name is Debbie Johnson and I currently own and operateDebbie’s School of Dance.” I built the foundation for the studio on the idea of watching children gain confidence, poise, self-esteem, strength and trust through the beauty of dance and twenty years later I still use this as the basis for the classes I teach. These teaching ethics led to my induction into the "Who’s Who in Dance" National publication.

I have performed with the Atlanta Ballet Company in the production of the holiday ballet, the “Nutcracker”.  I have choreographed and taught students routines for the “Florida Citrus Bowl” half-time show and the “Nashville Music City Bowl” half-time show.  I have helped students participate in the “Jr. Titans Cheerleader” program. My students performed in several special guest appearances on CMT's ,"Wildhorse Saloon TV show". My studio has also had guest performances at “Disney World” in Orlando and also “Universal Studios”. We have performed at Six Flags during National Dance Week.  I was most recently the dance line coach/choreographer for Vanderbilt University. The dance line performs at all home football and basketball games.

I have a studio competition team that travels to neighboring states to compete in regional competitions. We have had much success in our endeavors competing and are fortunate enough to hold several National championship titles at the “Contest of Champions” sponsored by Disney World and ESPN.

I believe in giving back to the community so we perform at several community events as entertainment such as Mall shows, parades, etc.  This not only helps our community but allows our dancers to build performing skills without the pressure of a Recital type performance.

I look forward to working with you and your child in your dance endeavors. I’m sure you will find your child has a rewarding experience.
